Film: Capsule Reviews
Cleveland Scene - Aug 27, 2008
Baghead - Baghead is a clever, funny and suspenseful film about a group of low-level actors who decide to write their own movie in the hope of getting some attention. Chad (Steve Zissis) wants to use the movie to get closer to Michelle (Greta Gerwig), but Michelle has the hots for Matt (Ross Partridge), even though Matt's ex Catherine (Elise Muller) still has feelings for him. After Michelle ...
Don Cheadle’s performance heats up frenetic thriller ’Traitor’
Philadelphia Daily News - Aug 27, 2008
"Traitor" is a solid, gripping, only occasionally preachy thriller built around the War on Terror. Ripped-from-the-headlines realism, top-drawer performances by Don Cheadle and Guy Pearce, a dandy "ticking clock" story structure and a vast catalog of terrorist modus operandi make this as harrowing as it is timely.

Cafe Society: Screening includes treats for the palate
Ventura County Star - Aug 27, 2008
When a group of French wine judges inadvertently honored a Napa Valley chardonnay over one crafted by a fellow countryman, it was the cork "pop" heard 'round the wine world: Thanks to what became known as The Paris Tasting of 1976, California suddenly was recognized as a source for not just jug-wine plonk but serious vintages.
'Traitor' a film on a collision course to an explosive ending

In summary, fine summery fare
Ventura County Star - Aug 27, 2008
What a glorious summer of cinema it was, with "The Dark Knight" reminding us why we miss Heath Ledger, ABBA fans coming out of the closet and out of the woodwork for "Mamma Mia!," "Kung Fu Panda" and "WALL-E" keeping the kiddies entertained and an August so littered with funny, raunchy movies the nation's frat houses threatened to empty out altogether.
'Bottle Shock' full of underdog-formula cliches
The Times of Northwest Indiana - Aug 27, 2008
The people who made "Bottle Shock" obviously love their wine. They're not that crazy about the French. And they are firm believers in the screenwriting rule of leaving no underdog-formula cliche unused, even when your movie is already dangerously overloaded with them.

'Bottle Shock' is satisfying, feel-good
Richmond Times-Dispatch - Aug 23, 2008
Once you uncork "Bottle Shock," you'll first notice its mild yet intriguing bouquet. A sip reveals that it is pleasingly palatable and deceptively full-bodied, with a natural sweetness tempered by an undertone of dry wit, building to a strong finish.

'Bottle Shock' opens up to world of wine tastings
Honolulu Advertiser - Aug 22, 2008
Perhaps "Bottle Shock" should have been called "The Grapes of Froth" because it tells such a happy story: How the vintners of Napa Valley won the blind tasting known as the "Judgment of Paris" in 1976 and put their little piece of California paradise on the world wine stage for all time. What a movie: booze, unhappy French people, Alan Rickman and really cool pickup trucks.
